HONEYMOON
PLANNING
Why
you shouldn't go on your honeymoon only ten years after
your wedding.
A
well-planned honeymoon is just as important as the rest
of the wedding. Don't ignore it as just another trip
together to somewhere. A honeymoon is much more than
just another outing.
Let's
put it this way : After weeks, months (and sometimes
even years) of hectic wedding preparations, the honeymoon
is the ultimate sweet ending. The sweet ending to singlehood,
that is. It's the icing on the wedding cake. It is the
gentle transition between announcing to the whole world
that you're getting married, and actually living as
a married couple. A honeymoon eases you into a future
of life together.
Now
that you've agreed with me on how important a honeymoon
is, you really would want it to go as well as can be
yeah?

Tips to Planning an Unforgettable Honeymoon!
Tip
1: Agree on what you both want to do
First
step to planning a successful honeymoon: agree on your
objectives. By this we mean, how do you want to spend
all that honeymoon time? Do you want to
1)
be lost in each other's eyes?
2)
see the most exotic places together?
3)
shop like mad for your new home?
How
you both decide you want to spend that honeymoon time
will vastly affect the choice of location. Say, if you
both chose option 1, forget about going to exotic places.
You'll be so busy gazing lovingly into each other's
eyes that it doesn't matter if a dinosaur strolled past
you in deepest amazonian forests. You'll be just as
happy in Rasa Sentosa, trust me. Of course you could
be just as happy at home, but it'll be painful for the
parents/ siblings/ family pet who's sharing the apartment.
On
the same note, if you both agree you want to sightsee,
choose locations that will give you an "eyeful".
Similarly for shopping interests, choose urban locations
like Hong Kong for those great shops.
Tip
2: Decide on duration
How
long both of you can afford to be away from work or
home is also important in choosing the type of honeymoon.
If you can only be away for a few days, no point going
to somewhere far like Asia or U.S. and spend 2 days
cooped up in the plane when you're only going to be
there for under a week.
Tip
3: Admit if you're a control freak
Now
if you're a control freak, be honest and submit yourself
to a tour package. Why? Because if you're a control
freak and you're on a free-n-easy tour, you'll probably
be spending more time trying to make things go your
way than in spending time with your better half. If
you're on a planned tour, quell that control freak in
you by telling yourself that you can't change anything,
so you might as well go along and enjoy. Yes, it is
that simple.
So
with these 3 all-important tips, how do you put together
that perfect honeymoon?
