A day tour encompassing all the best elements of Highland Scotland – magnificient scenery, loch and rivers, whisky and history. Our route takes us past Stirling and it magnificent castle to Dunblane. Dunblane lies between the rugged mountain peaks of the Perthshire Highlands in the north and rich fertile carse of Stirling. We continue through the Sma’ Glen to Crieff where we will visit the Caithness visitor centre. Here you will see paper weights being crafted and there is an audio visual presentation. We continue now for a photo stop at the picturesque Loch Tummel and then to Pitlochry and the smallest distillery in Scotland. Edradour is the last original "farm" distillery with some very traditional equipment. It likes to trace its history back to the beginning of legal whisky production in the Highlands, in 1825, though the present distillery is believed to have been founded in 1837. The distillery is at the hamlet of Balnauld, above the town of Pitlochry. We will have a distillery tour and a wee dram of whisky. Continuing to Dunkeld for a short stop we will then continue to the Scottish Liqueur Centre which is family owned and there will also be an opportunity To taste hand-made Scottish Liquers. A leisurely drive to Perth before continuing on our journey home. Included: Tour of Edradour Distillery & Tasting Tasting at the Liquer Centre
